I KNOW RIGHT!

Music Scholarship!
I have been asking God to give me an opportunity to hone what He has given me, the talent of singing. *I claim that I have that!* Don’t get me wrong, I am not a biritera. They say that my voice is simple, and that I know. When I was a kid, I was so frustrated with my voice [sorry, Lord…] I cannot imitate the likes of Celine Dion, Beyoncé, Whitney Houston, and such. I just can’t. I tried my best but I guess my best wasn’t good enough, just once! I always get piyok and the strain on my neck has always been obvious whenever I try to hit those high notes. They say I am a mezzo soprano; you know, medyo soprano lang ‘coz I can hit the high notes but not too high notes (If you know what I mean). I have been so insecure before because I didn’t have that so-called “great voice” [again, sorry Lord…]
But the moment I knew the Giver of this voice, I can’t help but praise Him through this. I realized, I actually had a beautiful voice; not because of how it sounded but because of my God who owns it. Everything He owns is beautiful, I believe. He was my first real “audience”. It was Him who gave me the courage to keep on using my voice as an instrument for His glory. I had my sintunado and piyok moments on and off stage, which almost hindered me from singing; yah, seriously. But hey, I am an instrument of the living God, and I’ll live to glorify my King. I love this song by Sarah Reeves and it inspired me to keep on being used by the Lord!
Sweet Sweet Sound
See Video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-e40UCxlYw
I am an instrument of the living God
My life a melody to His name
More than the songs I sing
Worship is everything
I live to glorify my King
Hear the song of my life
Let it be a sweet, sweet sound
Let it be a sweet, sweet sound
I raise this anthem high
Let it be a sweet, sweet sound
Let it be a sweet, sweet sound
Through all the mire and clay
You’re washing me with grace
You carry me, oh Lord, through it all
So I will testify even in the fire
I live to praise my Savior
Let everything that has breath
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord
And all creation will sing Hallelujah
He loves me for who I am, and yet He keeps on helping me to become the person He wants me to be. He speaks to me through my devotion, Bible Studies, wisdom-filled teachers, and experiences. And now, He has given me the opportunity to become not just a better singer, but also a better worship leader! How cool is that? Praise God. He gives more than what I desire. Thank you, Lord, for My Inspirations Unlimited and Ms. Tricia Amper-Jimenez for this music scholarship. I can’t help but praise God and smile at His awesomeness!!!

Whew! Kinikilig ako sa Iyo, Panginoon. I am not only victorious, I am favored!
Btw, here was my audition piece. I hope I could practice what I’ve learned and will be learning! So help me God!

For all that You’ve done
I will thank You
For all that You’re going to do
For all that You’ve promised
And all that You are
And it’s all that has carried me through
Jesus I thank You
Thank You Lord, not because of who I am, but because of what You’ve done; not because of what I’ve done, but because of who You are! (I am a flower) :)))
A post-birthday treat for Allison. The Coffee Bean, UP-Ayala Land Technohub.
Thanks D’arby!:)
News can get old. They become a big hit at some point and then die down just because people lost interest or another big news popped. Someday, that news will be forgotten. But I believe that the words NEW FOUND FRIEND or NFF can never be OLD. Connection? Nuthin’. I just like to say that this NFF of mine will always be new to me. I will never (hopefully) lose interest in her. Even if new friends come my way, she will always be my NFF, a special part of me.

So how did we become NFFs?
December 11, 2011/Sunday/Around 11AM-12PM
I can’t remember the exact words in the actual conversation, but basically, I kinda forced Denise Marie Camorongan to be my friend. I believe in the quote, “Friends are made, not born”. In our case, it was totally MADE!

YOU ARE MINE! YOU ARE MY NFF!
I asked her, why are we not close? And then she said. Huh? We’re close. I said, nope, not that close. I want us to be closer.

And that’s how much I want to be close to her!
And there I required her to text me everyday. I even obliged her to have a date with me. I told her that I didn’t want the, “kamusta ka-okay lang” conversation. I want something deeper. I WANT. Being the phlegmatic that she is,(and mind you, I REALLY LOVE PHLEGMATICS!) she agreed to all my terms and conditions.

See? I even tell her to take fun pictures with me! I really love her!!!
However we started our relationship, I am very thankful that it happened. The first days of exchanging messages were awkward, but eventually, we got used to communicating with each other and taking pictures together. Now, I can’t get enough of her. Hahahaha. From then on, I feel this kilig feeling hearing from her and updating her with my boomskalaka stories. And that eventually, I called her my NFF.

This is kinda malabo. I wrote this on my NFF’s forearm last April 29, 2012

Classy NFFs
Oh, by the way. It is her birthday today! Happy birthday, NFF!

So happy to have known you. I am so excited for our very first date on Saturday! YAHOOO! Finally! I love you! I have something for you!!!!!!!<3
I will end this post with a poem by Lisa Pelzer Vetter and edited it a little bit for NFF. Sana kiligin ka. :)
As I walk the path of life,
I meet people everyday.
Most are simply met by chance.
But, some are sent my way.
But I just found a NEW FOUND FRIEND,
With whom I have a bond I can’t explain;
The one who understands me
And share my joy and pain.
NFF love contains no boundaries.
So, even when we are apart.
Her presence enhances me
With a warmth felt in the heart.
This love becomes a passageway,
As we go through trials together,
And so, my NFF that God sent my way,
This friendship will remain forever

How I wish I could create rainbows everywhere for you, but for now, my twinkling love will shower you this day. I love you! Happy birthday! Cheers to our favorite pose NFF 11!!!

Yeah. You read the title right. I’m indeed heart broken. I was in the middle of working on something when my laptop died. Yeah. It died. I just finished my script and almost done, well sort of, with the PPT. Then, it died. I remember writing about my overdependent-on-the-source laptop. This evening, it died, even if it’s plugged to the source. Will it wake up from it’s death table? I don’t know. I guess, I just have to move on, and start all over again. At least I got to practice what to write on the script and put on the PPT. Oh well. Life goes on. No time to get depressed.
May I see thorns in a different perspective. They are there to make me stronger. God’s power is made perfect in my weaknesses. Work through me as I finish what I need to finish!:)
And Oh, thanks NFF for comforting me. :) I love you.

My Epic 22nd Birthday!
Remember TISSUE GROUP? Yeah, the love of my life. After my birthday (as in March 22) [Yah, I know, I keep reminding you in case you forget], my cute little babies arranged a surprise for me.
Here’s the scenario (March 23)
Abby: Ateeeeeeee. I need to H2H (Heart to Heart) na. Please, I really need to talk to you. Pwede ka ba makapunta later ng 6 PM?

Abby: Ateeeee, no…. We need to talk in person….:(
Allison: Okay, okay. I’ll be there. Hold on, Baby.
Abby: Okay, Ate! Exactly 6 PM ah!
(And due to the heavy traffic from Araneta Ave to forever, I came at 6:30 PM. SOWIII)
Abby: (Hugged me and almost cried seeing me) Ateeeeee. Huhuhu……
Allison: Why Baby?? Waaaaaaaaaaaaah! Why? Tell me. Tara sa labas tayo mag-usap!
Abby: Kasi…kasi……
(SURPRISE by Abby, Monica, Alyssa, Bea and ALL THE SBCCers that were there!)
Everyone: Happy Birthday to you!!!!!!

TISSUE GROUP!
Let me introduce to you the group that made me feel old special! It’s the TISSUE GROUP! This group is comprised of 10-14 year old kids, but when you ask them, I’m pretty sure that they’d say that I am not treating them like how they should be treated. Go ahead, ask them! (Tell me when, ‘coz I have to instruct them to be good, or else! HIHI)
Genesis of the Tissue Group’s Name
Allison: Okay, girls. I hope soon magkaroon kayo ng sarili ninyong Cell Groups. Oki? Excited na ba kayo?
Daphne: (Nagtaas ng kamay)
Allison: Yes, Baby Daphne?
Daphne: Ate Allison, ‘di ba po, ang cells that work together will form a TISSUE?
Allison: Oh yah, if we, group of cells work together, we will form a tissue! BRILLIANT! Simula ngayon, ang name ng group natin ay TISSUE GROUP.
So that’s how it started. Interesting? I say, amazing! From then on, our group was known for being the youngest cell group in SBCC. It was challenging to play the role of being a discipler. But the challenges made me stronger. I always thank the Lord for giving me THEM. I call them, my babies. Here’s a glimpse of my babies.

What’s with the title?
Hey - You. Yes you. I may know you so much, kinda know you, know you a little, know you from a far, and not know you at all. Hey, I need to update you; not that I am obliged to, not that you have to know, but I just want to update you, or myself. Hey, I have something to share to you. Hey, I am still alive. Hey. Hey. I’m still existing!
I’m Free - Yeah. I am officially free from academics. I enjoyed my stay in UP; but staying for another year or so is just plain crazy! Graduation is nearing. I can taste its goodness! Oh I am so excited to experience this freedom. Ready for the big challenges prepared for a free woman? I AM!
NOT - Technically, I am not yet free. I still have a board exam to pass. For now, I just have to rest and enjoy the holy week with mah cousins and family. Next week is “hibernation week” for this sanguine-melancholic until the exam. If you want to meet with me, you have to schedule an appointment a week before the desired date. (Nah, I love spontaneous dates!) I have so much to do during this preparation; that includes my character building and other whatever.
But Happy.:) - It’s not my birthday anymore? I feel like it’s still my special day! Surprises, gifts, greetings, lovely greetings, shortcut greetings, late greetings, and love from God. I mean, God has blessed me with so much! Thank You, Lord! I am also happy because of the accomplished requirements, disciples, cousins, blessings and so on! Oh how I love to live. There are struggles, but I am happy that the Lord has been with me all the way.
So what’s with the blog?
I have done a 30 day challenge and a pink day challenge. They were not failures, I think. For now, I would like to try something that would help me record things, remember things, and re-appreciate things. Diary kuno. So I am going to do another challenge!:) This is the “If I had a diary, I would write about….” challenge! Since I turned 22 on the 22nd of March, might as well blog about the 22 topics I would love to include in my diary kuno. Also, I want to update you, I am free but not so free, and I am happy, for that, I will blog! :) I will update this from time to time.:)

I wrote this on your wall, Patty!
Hey Patty not Pathy nor Fatty! I have been a follower of yours since my friend introduced your quirky blog to me, a year ago, I think. And seeing your Special Treat for April made me jump with joy! Anyway. I am Allison, and I would love to bond with you, together with my Ninang Vilma (in the photo on your wall), who is my mentor, discipler, my love life as of the moment, and closest person ever (besides my mom, of course). She has been there for me ever since the world began. She has been teaching me so many principles about the Bible. As in walking Bible siya! She has also been treating me with stuff only a mommy can afford (Wala pa ako work since graduating palang ako). I just hope that this time, I would be able to treat her (well, technically, you treat her) with this spa treat. It’s more of about her! Hihi. and also, graduation treat mo na sa akin. Hihi!
BTW. You inspired me to start my own blog. Yay! http://allisonifyyourlife.tumblr.com/
Sorry for the “amateurness” of this blog. I am learning, learning. Hope to see you, Miss Patty Pretty not PIGGY!
